Midwest control has about a gazillion of those clevis/yoke end things. You'll have to hunt for one that will work though.

Nope i'm keeping my mouth shut....
Love the lines, and the pimp size of the chassis. Everything looks like its gonna work really well and you didn't waste any space. You need to get it together and beat the shit out of it. It sits pretty low too, i think you will really like the low COG.
One question i did have though, what are the plans for suckdown winches?

Check that out don, its what i was telling you about. You really can't beat that price. If you add it all up even using DOM, you have 50$ in rod ends (4x 7/8 rod ends at 12.50), and 40 dollars in tube adapters(4x tube adapters @ 10$ a piece). Unless you are running thick tube and tapping it then you would save a few bucks more. Plus you get some damn near indestructible aluminum links.
I Just got off the phone with carry. He sells a bolt on turbo for the factory 22r turbo manifold that is a hybrid t3 (said he uses parts off 3 different turbo's). He told me bolt that turbo on, run draw through, and i will be at 200HP at the crank on a stock 22re longblock. He also said if i want tech to get all the parts and he will walk me through the install, but he is sick of explaining it to people. He told me he gets at least a phone call a day about turbo propane set up and lots of PM's on pirate. He was kind of ignorant about it until i told him i have his propane kit, then his attitude changed 100%. |

I understand the clevis thing, but don't you need them either way? No matter how you look at it you are still gonna need them and 4x hiem joints unless i am not understanding something correctly.
And i can almost understand his shitty attitude. I realize its not good for business but if i had a person ask me the same question everyday and it took an indepth explanation i would have a shitty attitude too. So i guess i can relate. I completely understand everyone who would refuse to buy from someone like that though. |

| I'm gonna put a heim in the ram(R) And a heim at the knuckle(L) then use a chunk of 1.5 dom and a 3/4 fine thread u-bolt nut (for the knuckle end heim) and use 1/4 inch plate on the other end of the tube to make a clevis |

Thats pretty much how Rob Steffy's first comp buggy's steering links were done. _________________ *****************************************************

spent a few hours yesterday on the drill press and then the press!
this will be the backer for the plastic skids, its 1/8th inch with the dimples figured I bought the dies and wanted to use them plus I think they are BLING BLING! I know its a good bit of weight but its down low and sure beats wrapping the the whole lower in 3/16 or 1/4
when I get off work today I hope to get the other side done |
